We'll end the year with our last two releases of the year on Dec. 5th. One I mentioned earlier is a 4-CD set guaranteed to make golden age fans very happy. The second is the release of the year -- for me personally. It's not one people would have expected so it will be a bit of a surprise. But people have asked for it!

More details as we get closer.

Thanks for letting us know. :)

If it's the release of the year for you personally, I will start scouring the films of 1985.

I woner if the second release is the 3-CD action-packed Disney masterpiece that Doug was referring to? He did indicate at the start of October it would be coming in 'three months or so'.

Roger said no to this recently. So it can't be Volunteers.

It's possible that they got the go ahead soon after. With elements in place, there should be enough time to get the score transferred, mastered and manufactured by early next month.

That said, it can be many things. Young Indiana Jones? Scarecrow and Mrs. King? Willow? Conan the Destroyer? A favorite Turkish film? OK, maybe no to the last one.

He made that comment 17 days ago. Not a chance!

I just saw that interview where he said he'd love to do Young Indy. Could arguably fit the Disney clue if you believe Doug would refer to it as an action-packed masterpiece. 3 CDs with scores from four or five episodes. Masterpiece would be singular though so I was thinking it's a film.

Plenty chance. Fortuitousness is not reserved just for movies and television.

As for the 4-CD set, there was supposedly some big Max Steiner news forthcoming. Perhaps Intrada is the audacious label to fund whatever it is. A Warner Bros. collection?

Steiner would be certainly nice change after all the Rozsa madness....

With the other title I must have missed the "latest" update... but truth is it can be pretty much anything from Apollo 13 to that looooooooooooooooooooooong awaited Conan the Destroyer or anything else entirely. Maybe with only exception being Willow that would probably require 2 CDs... and Young Indy that would make no sense to release as separate albums and would deserve a box set or something like Amazing Stories antologies.

Well the Disney set is 3 CDs, that's a boxset. Twilight Zone was 3 CDs. They could put some of the scores on there and if it's a success, do a second volume.

Interview quote from 2015:

"Does the fact that Disney bought Lucasfilm mean something can be expected for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones sagas, or Willow?"

"I’m not sure yet. I’d love to do the complete Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, so we’ll see. I love the music of Laurence Rosenthal and Joel McNeely, who did a large number of the episodes and TV movies. And there are some Frédéric Talgorn scores in there as well, and I love his music. It would be an amazing set."

If it's Young Indy, I will die of happiness.

What about NEVER CRY WOLF? The full score and both rejected scores/alternate takes could be a 3cd set and just in time for winter. It is a Disney title.

Junior Bonner? Lol. A boy can dream, can't he?

Looks like the 4 cd set will be a biggie. I'm probably wrong, but Rozsa's King of Kings reissue?
