In An FSM thread over the weekend, Roger mentioned in passing that next week's release is an LP reissue.

That makes for approximately 5,496 viable possibilities.

He went on to say that most will probably not take the plunge on it.

Now I know what i have to do to get a stack of 80s cartoon scores released from the Disney holdings: get a job in their legal department and ask Intrada to fix it for me!

In that FSM post that Roger made he also mentioned that there are box-sets and 2-CD titles ready to go as soon as approval is given. So standby folks, the "doldrums" hopefully will be over soon. :)

I saw that. One of them is an Airport set, but they just need approval from the George Kennedy estate for use of a picture that contains his apparently controversial left ear.

Less doldrums,
More like the calm before the storm.

Could one of those 2CD sets finally be CONAN THE DESTROYER?

Exact quote was:

Plenty to chew on, there.

I don't think Volunteers will be among them. Roger recently posted again about the continued frustrating status of that one.

Here's his FSM post with clues re: next week's release:
"I don't think it's all that doom and gloom. From our perspective, big titles like RAMBO II, DICK TRACY, ROCKETEER still sell as well as ever. We have to keep repressing ROCKETEER. Where I do see sales dropping off are the smaller, lesser known titles that people aren't as willing to take a risk on, like I'LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN. We have one such release next week that will probably not do so great...it's an LP reissue that someone at the licensor was very passionate about and we thought it would be fun to make that dream come true even though we know most will not take the plunge. Fun film though, but people will ask Huh?

If he wants to provide further clues I'm sure he will...

Possibly, but not sure why it would be a 2CD set unless there are significant alternates, or if the original recording of the Conan Sword & Sorcery Spectacular score by Basil is also included as a bonus, as happened with the Tadlow new recording. I remember that was going to be included on BSX's Basil Poledouris Collection Vol. 1, but got pulled at the last minute (I think the original press release is still online at the FSM board thread). I thought at the time, "I bet this was pulled off because another company got the rights."

Could the 4-CD set be Herbie, The Love Bug films?

If Intrada did those, they'd be done separately. Roger also said those sets are stuck in approvals - so I reckon they're coming from Warners or Universal, who have been known to take a while. The 4-CD set is probably a television project.
