Early 60s American classic gets its premiere, expanded release in stunning sound (there may have been an import CD of just LP program, but not clear how legit it was). Strangely this incredibly prolific composer with many LP releases has hardly any CD releases.

Cool. Looking forward to hearing what the title is. Hopefully it is a movie that I enjoy.

Hopefully this will be from the OST master tapes. The Hustler was Hopkins best work. The LP then the CD (source?) were both terrific. But short. This is barely over 30 minutes much in line with the rerecorded reuse fee hindered scores from the period. Hope it is time expanded. The other Hopkins score for TV which could use a real CD release is from the short lived George C. Scott weekly program called East Side, West Side. It would be a great programmer with The Hustler if the releases were based on the LP programs alone. The film itself (The Hustler) caused a lot of teen age boys to take up the pool cue. If this is what it is thanks to all at Intrada.

Might be The Hustler.

It's the only Kenyon Hopkins score released on vinyl that I don't have.

Regardless, early 60's sounds good so it sounds like something that I WANT!!!
