OK... we know about 2 titles coming next week and perhaps next batch is expected on 28th...

Is anything planned for December 12th as well or any idea yet when the final batch of the year might be released?

Please, not a "box-set" for Rocky like they do at LaLaLand! Do as you did with Back to the Future: nice stand-alone releases !

Basil Poledouris
are now officially in Intrada's pipeline.

I don't know, but I'll patiently wait, knowing that any delay is almost certainly because Intrada is doing the best job they can for Basil's legacy.

I was being facetious about CONAN, Yavar.

It has been a considerable wait indeed.
A few months prior to CONAN THE BARBARIAN's 3CD debut,
both titles were quietly shared as forthcoming....
I'm curious as to whether it's an unforeseen snag or a deliberate wait (to coincide with a blu-ray premier or something). Mind you, I've patiently waited for this glorious new BLUE LAGOON CD to finally happen,

My theory is still that Intrada is painstakingly piecing together a superior "performance" from multiple takes, and that that's just a really time-consuming process. Like what Michael Mattesino described about doing for Superman IV here:
http://www.jwfan.com/?p=4066

"NSB: The biggest job for the shortest film. That makes a lot of sense. Can you explain the differences between having every recorded take and the selected takes?

MM: It means you have a lot more material to listen to, which means a lot of data to manage. Creatively it means you have the extra step of figuring out the accurate performance of each cue. Paperwork is sometimes helpful with this, because selected takes are often circled, but quite often I have to check cues against the film to determine exactly where edits were done, and so on. As Superman IV progressed, however, I took a bit more liberal approach since much of the music hadn’t been heard and the performance was shaky, mainly because the budget allowed for very few takes per cue, but having them all gave me the opportunity to create the best musical performances possible.

NSB: And you did this by not only combining takes, but also replacing individual instruments at times, right?

MM: Definitely. That’s one of the advantages of having the multi-track. If there’s a noise or a bum note you can take care of it right at the source without having to touch the tracks not affected by it. I fixed a lot of clams in one take by finding the same note played correctly in another, which is something they weren’t doing until all music editing started going digital. The disadvantage of multi-track is when you’re remixing something that has already been released because it’s very easy for it to go astray and end up sounding different form what listeners are used to and what the original artists intended. With Superman IV, however, the movie didn’t sound very good and there had never been a soundtrack release, so in a sense this freed me up in how I could approach it, which was basically to make it the best musical presentation possible."

Could also be some other elements issues of some kind, even though they said they had the complete multitracks. Or maybe Universal is just dragging their feet, as they've done occasionally in the past...

I guess there will be no ROCKY score for the 40th anniversary. The date is already over and nothing was announced yet. Why did this work out with Jaws and Star Trek and not with ROCKY? The fanbase of the ROCKY franchise is way bigger than from Jaws or Star Trek.

I'm not sure for this statement about Star Trek...

I'm still hoping that this one is 'in the works'? What a charming score by Elmer.

STAR TREK definitely has a huge fanbase, maybe a bigger one than ROCKY. But in a musical sense the ROCKY scores and themes are more universal. The music is loved by generations of all ages since 40 years.

It is depressing that nobody celebrated the scores for the 40th anniversary, as individual releases or as a box set. A lot of blogs were reporting the 40th anniversary of the ROCKY saga and they mentioned the music but nothing was done. Not even a 4K remastered Blu-Ray Set incl. 7 movies. When you think of all the great unreleased stuff of the 5 Conti scores, you want it even more to come out.
