A two-CD set featuring a much-sought expanded heroic adventure score from the early 90s.

For a moment I thought Dragonheart! Sorry to be so selfish, but it's one I really really want, too. And also deserves a release. But this one does, too. I've never heard but I know people wanted it and it's good, so of course if it really is the Rocketeer, it's good news for everyone anyway :)

Rocketeer is a pure masterpiece. That's all I can say. Joy.

I've been waiting for this cryptic message for so long.

To quote a certain captain Katanga 'Its exactly the way as I imagined' :)

THE ROCKETEER is by far one of the best scores of James Horner's entire career. I enjoy the original soundtrack album, but had no idea there could be enough music for a two CD set? In any case... that's one release I will have to double up on then... it is just a damn good score.

This could always be a full-score + original-album release (a la THE WIND AND THE LION and THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS).

There's an old interview with James Horner where he mentions 100 minutes of music was recorded, so there must be a bunch of unused cues and/or alternates that we haven't heard before that explains the 2CD set.

Because yes, the complete score you can hear in the film + the Jenny concert arrangement only gets you up to about 75 minutes....
