Since there's going to be an event surrounding both titles coming out March 1, details of which will be announced towards the end of the week, I thought I'd toss some clues out early. Here's one.

Being that this is the Chinese Year of the MONKEY,
Looks like Intrada's got this franchise covered! ;)

Young title is surely The Monkey King 2.

An event for a Poledouris title?

Starship Troopers and Robocop 3 are Varese in perpetuity so it can't be those.

Could it finally be his 1994 Jungle Book score?

Or would there be an "event" for Conan The Destroyer being released?

Also: Doug also indicates there are 2 more vinyls coming "in about a week" - will these be part of the March 1 batch?

Quote:
We have two more premium vinyl titles up for release in just about a week and yet another one following shortly thereafter.

Surely, Poledouris is just one of the composers for the second title and it’s an ‘80s Twilight Zone set. Young did some work for the series, too.

Now that I’m back in reality, I would go with Conan the Destroyer. That’s based on practically nothing, though, and I couldn't imagine what kind of event would be done for that.

Since there will be an event for the upcoming title(s) then it got to be (very) special title and The Monkey King 2 does not feel like a title that would generate an event so my guess for the Young title is Spider-Man 3.

If it’s a signing, The Monkey King 2 is definitely enough to generate such an event.

Now that I think about it, it seems that this is a single event for both titles, which makes that Twilight Zone set I mentioned plausible considering that composers such as Young and Safan often do signings.

There was just an event at Creature Features the other month that included Monkey King 1, though:

In other words, and event could be built around multiple titles, and 2 of the titles will be these new Intrada March 1st releases.

I wouldn't mind proper editions of MURDER AT 1600 and URBAN LEGENDS either... but Monkey II is very likely guess...

With POledouris... well... perhaps it's finally destroyer... other than that... perhaps we'll FINALLY get Return to Blue Lagoon.

Perhaps THE BLUE LAGOON (1980)
Remastered and expanded for an event.

That score is gorgeous with quite a bit not included on the CD.

Jungle Book makes some sense given the upcoming movie (though granted, a month and a half away is quite a bit)

Of course, Conan the Destroyer.is an obvious likelihood

Blue Lagoon would be fantastic though...

Maybe Intrada is going back to where they started and are putting Red Dawn back on vinyl. Nearly endless possibilities.
