Well, BTTF1 and BTTF2 are shipping next week. Maybe they only announced those early to tie into the anniversary celebration with Universal and Varese.

Intrada's BTTF 1 & BTTF 2, and Varese's BTTF 3 have not started shipping yet. I doubt any of them are back from the pressing plants yet.

However Varese has had the new BTTF 3 available on digital platforms (Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon MP3) since Friday October 16th, and Geffen has the new BTTF 1 on HDTracks and iTunes and the new BTTF 2 on iTunes as of today.

Hopefully our physical CDs ship soon!

The wonderful PonoMusic store (lossless quality) has the deluxe edition of Part III. Saves me a little extra money for more Intrada releases.

Thats cool, but only the new release with disc one. I have the 2009 release but i want HD tracks of all 3 complete scores.

The alternate score for episode 1 hasn't been remastered in 24 bits.

Mmh, why not? That would be great. Also Pt II and III as HD Tracks would be fine. Is there no market for this?

Sure, however small it may be. As for Part II, this is the first time it has had an expanded release, so perhaps the lack of lossless or high resolution download for it is so CD sales are not further eaten into. Intrada ultimately did the most work in making it happen, so such deference is due.

With Part III, Varese presumably has the download rights and not UMG, so the album's resolution would likely be up to them.

So why no Intrada HD Download Store? Maybe in bundle with a physical release or just Download alone.

I think Doug has stated before that Intrada's licenses are strictly for CD releases and not for downloads. (Studios may well have been reserving that revenue stream for themselves in the future.)

To answer an earlier query: There isn't a 24bit remastering of the unused BTTF score simply because we had already sold out of the absolute maximum allowable units (10,000) that can be made under the AFM policy at that time. It was actually courtesy a very special deal that the AFM, Universal and UMG were all willing and able to extend us a continuation on our license to release more copies of the first CD in that set.

And here's a heads up: We've already moved more than half of the maximum allowable units for the 2-CD set for BTTF 2. Like the movies, these scores are popular. We're happy to be involved. :D
