The first releases is one of our rare forays into complete electronics. It comes from the mid 80s and was previously available only on LP, but now appears in expanded CD format. Interestingly the main theme seems like a trial run for a theme the composer wrote just a few months later for an orchestral score to a blockbuster film that made him an A level composer.

The second release is a reissue of an earlier Special Collection release that sold out way too fast. This release is rebuilt from the ground up to offer better fidelity, adds an extra alternate, and slightly modified packaging. Mainly for those that missed it the first time around, but good title to have back in the catalog as it's a classic 70s thriller.

Cat's Eye for the first title. It contains what became the Back to the Future theme, and I believe this is one of those LPs that Varese does not currently control. Please tell me you were able to include that somewhat cheesy but endearing song.

Capricorn One for the reissue?

CAT'S EYE
Never compared it to BTTF before, but yes I hear the resemblance.

CAPRICORN ONE
with better sound... Yes!
I'd gladly pay extra for a deluxe 2CD edition that included the rerecording...
But that's a pipe dream.

Wouldn't Cat's Eye be under Varese jurisdiction?

But if it's that I'm VERY happy Intrada is releasing it expanded instead of that Varese subscription thing.

It is apparently one of the titles that did not stick with them, as is the case with 10 to Midnight, The Aviator, Dressed to Kill, Crawlspace, Gorky Park, Hercules, Link and others.

I am quite happy with the Intrada Capricorn One recording I already have (and with the rerecording as well), but this is sure a score that should be out there and available. It's re-release is long overdue for those who have missed out.
