How did it get to be Thursday already?

Two releases next week, one is 2 of....just kidding. Got you going there for a second. One is a beautiful, almost heartbreaking romantic score from the early 90s. Partially released then, completely released now by one of the masters of romance. We dumped the songs this time in favor of adding all that unreleased score.

Attention all golden age fans, sorry for the neglect, but your day has come. Not just any golden age score, but a true Oscar-nominated classic from the mid-40s featuring recently discovered elements. Not quite complete, not state of the art sound, but a big restoration on a score that transcends its recording medium. Probably the most important score from this composer's Noir period. I think I've given too much away...I might as well name it. But I won't.

Roger

The Golden Age title sounds like a Rozsa, not sure which one it is... if I am correct.

Indecent Proposal seems like a good guess for the first title. I don't think there are any Delerue scores that fit the bill.

If so, I hope that one song (In All The Right Places) is not dumped...

A Ruby Cairo-esque presentation would be ideal if licensing costs permitted the song's inclusion, though it's not critical in my opinion.

Hahaha that actually made me laugh out loud, maybe there's some future truth behind that sneaky joke though.

I'm rubbish at the guessing games but I immediately thought of Indecent Proposal

Great minds think alike, my first thought was indeed...
INDECENT PROPOSAL

As for the Golden Age title,
Could it be SPELLBOUND: the original recording?
Or perhaps it's...
REBECCA - Franz Waxman

The golden age score has to be Rozsa's Double Indemnity.

There's actually a third title...it's an extremely current sci fi adventure. It's actually not an Intrada release, but the studio decided that they'd distribute to just Amazon and us (although we will wholesale it to other retailers). Look for it as well on Tuesday.

Doug's Corner implies the Golden Age title is not only complete but includes alternates:

The other new Intrada release world premieres an incredibly important title from some seven decades ago, offering the first-ever release of the actual full-length film soundtrack which even includes several never-before-heard alternates. What a masterpiece of scoring this one is. By turns rich, powerful, frightening! It's a dramatic headliner to our new slate of classic soundtracks originating from that incomparable "Golden Age".
