OH YES! Thank you Roger! :) Both in the basket...
I had been quite shocked when I saw only one score track on the songs album of Muppets Most Wanted
Reaction in 1984 : God Damn it ! We are going to wait for some 30 years before the release of this!
Reaction in 2014 : Thank God we have Intrada ! XD

So will The Muppets release have selections from both films?
That would be great. I was disappointed that the first film never got a(n official) score release.

Really? This piece of crap?
So glad we are getting this "thing" instead of The Pirate Fairy!

I'm sure Intrada would like to release it if it were possible, but Roger said they'd need a lot more copies on the first TinkerBell album to sell before they can do more. If anything, the rest of film score fandom is to blame for being closed-minded jerks, not Intrada.

This makes me so sad... the first Tinker Bell album was fantastic. I always hoped the others would follow

On topic: both discs will be mine and I hope there are other Disney announcements coming soon!

Intrada's mentioned that there's plenty more vintage Disney scores that they plan on doing from composers like Goodwin, Mandel, Bruns, Paul J. Smith and Oliver Wallace, and that they continue to go through many rolls of tape.

We just need to be patient and hope that people buy these classic gems.

That's a bit melodramatic. Market dynamics are much more complicated than people being closed-minded jerks.

Let's just say it's a much more modernistic score than what Alan Silvestri composed for the first episode.

The only closed-minded jerk I can see is Lokutus. How ignorant can one be?

May the Winter Soldier bring floods of money for Intrada!

I just had to chime in on this mean-spirited comment... and it's a pretty simple chime: Being partners in the Disney/Marvel universe is more than I could ever have imagined when I started this label and I would consider it an honor to be releasing the music for Captain America: The Winter Soldier even if it were written solely as a duet for kazoo and metronome.

Intrada's relationship with Disney has yielded so many incredible projects already, from The Avengers to The Black Hole, from Thor: The Dark World to The Lone Ranger, from Toy Story 3 to The Black Cauldron, from Up to Oz... to say nothing of all those Goldsmiths, Horners, Jarres and whatnot. And yes... that includes McNeely scores like Tinkerbell and Squanto. That's a lot of cool music that otherwise would not have seen the light of CD.

So "this piece of crap" you spit on is just what a specialty label like ours needs... so we can stay in business and pursue all those other scores we'd like to own be they ancient Rozsa and Bernstein or contemporary Elfman and Zimmer.

And I wouldn't have it any other way, my dear Lokutus.
