Two scores on one CD, but polar opposites. One is from a mid-70s film featuring a dissonant score from a neat thriller. The second is more of a romantic score from the early 80s. Why pair them? Same composer! And neither were long enough for their own albums, so what's a producer to do? Both have never been available in any form.

And just a heads up that it's spring break at Intrada in two weeks where the hamsters will be taking a much needed break to feast on kibble and get off the endlessly spinning hamster wheel. So see you back in four weeks after next week's release.

'Romantic score' makes me think John Barry. 1983's Svengali has never had a release. Was that a romantic score?

Can't think of a Barry mid 70s thriller that hasn't been released, though. So maybe not.

Nice to see everyone flailing on the FSM thread. 15 different suggestions already. Usually, people guess correctly as soon as RF posts, so this is a nice change.

I doubt it's Night Moves unless those masters have turned up.

"The Stepford Wives" as the mid 70s thriller?

I'm really trying to make this be Marvin Hamlisch so I can finally get the score to Seems Like Old Times.

Could it be Alan Silvestri's Romancing the Stone (1984)
and The Doberman Gang (1972)?

Love classic early Silvestri but a reissue of Romancing the Stone deserves its own release.

This one has me stumped I won't figure it out. Monday will probably bring a surprise release.

Romancing the Stone got a release on Varese Club back in 2002.
It's also an hour long.

Lots of guesses there, but I believe that Two Minute Warning/The Last Married Couple in America by Charles Fox is the only one that perfectly fits the description as well as sticks to a single studio.

Sounds good! Two Minute Warning is on my wish list for decades now. :)

I still hope to see Small's beatiful Night Moves score on CD. We had such great releases using stems or M&E tracks in the past years.

My Intrada wish list:
Rooster Cogburn (Rosenthal)
Night Moves (Small) from the stems?
Junior Bonner (Fielding)
The Gauntlet (Fielding) complete and chronological!
Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (Barton)
Madigan (Costa)
Columbo (Goldenberg/Mellé)

That seems to be the consensus over at FSM. Intrada like Mr Small very much!

*edit 10 mins later* OK, maybe another time :)

That would be Charles Fox, whom I'm sure they also like very much. Hopefully we'll see those two scores released someday.

As for the Rosenman scores, I mistakenly thought that each would be lengthy enough for their own albums.

Oops, yes, I stand corrected, thank you.
